Backing Blair – joining and starting Meetup groups

The London Backing Blair group now has 25 members. There are 4 other groups taking shape around the country.
Now, it may feel lonely at first, but unless you take the initiative and set up a group in your local area, what’s quite likely to happen is that a number of people are going to do just what you did – look for a group in their local area, not find one, and then give up.
If you support the campaign and wish to do more, then please start a Backing Blair group today.
Cheers all.

while the cause seems worthy I do have a problem with the title.. I wouldn’t want a “Backing Blair” logo on my website (if I had one) unless it was subtitled “against the wall”I know people who still think http://www.plyrics.com/lyrics/crass/gotcha.html is a patriotic call to arms.. irony is a mystery to most, you have to make it clear.. or am i missing something?

Seamus:At a blog level, this was designed to maximise/increase the click-through rate for buttons/banners (which typically runs at about 1-5%). The basic idea is that people wouldn’t expect a (danger!) leftist (/danger!) blog to back Blair, so the click-through rate will be higher thanks to the “WTF?” factor.Once they arrive at the BB website, we make our purpose clear.
