Home Office publishes tender plan for ID Cards: suppliers take note…: The Home Office has published a prior information notice warning suppliers to get ready for a massive tender for biometric ID Cards – an e-government cornerstone. The Home Office says that it anticipates that once relevant legislation, now before Parliament, has received Royal Assent, it would embark upon procurement exercises for the establishment of a National Identity Cards scheme.
