I first saw Gove on one of those Newsnight people's debates where he argued the case that the British troops should not cut and run.As usual, the question of whether it was right to have gone to Iraq, and by implication the question of whether all those who thought it was right to start the killing there are fit to hold office, was explicitly and formally excluded from the debate.
