A lack of clarity

BBC – Parliament protester’s legal win: District Judge Quentin Purdy said he had not breached conditions imposed on him by the Metropolitan Police. Applause broke out at the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court, when the judge said the conditions were invalid as they lacked clarity… He said: “I repeat that I find the Commissioner cannot delegate his powers under Sopca as he purported to do. Additionally I find the conditions drafted as they are lack clarity and are not workable in their current form.”

As I’ve already pointed out before (many, many times) the SOCPA Act itself lacks clarity; it does not even define what constitutes a demonstration.

Well done, Brian.
