« A tricky question for Praguetory | Main | Prepare your faux-outrage » March 12, 2007A tricky question for the MetIt is Red Nose Day this Friday. The deadline for requesting permission to demonstrate support for Comic Relief and its aims in a designated area has passed. Still no advice or word from the Met, despite my using a red nose display of unquestionable size and significance as my lead example. It really is very simple: Demonstrations without prior authorisation are banned in and around Westminster... is an exception being made for Comic Relief and - if so - why? You can seek an answer to this question yourself by contacting the Public Order Branch on 020 7230 9801 or 020 7230 9805.
