Lots of viral mechanisms crop up at this time of year (in fact, it was the promotion of Crackermatic that kicked things off at Bloggerheads back in the day).

Most of them are rubbish, but I did laugh at Elf Yourself.

In fact, I even used it to send a special Winterval greeting to the two biggest clowns in the blogosphere.

(Watch your step… the result is just a little bit creepy.)

And now, with the festive fare out of the way, here’s a message that’s more in keeping with this year’s mission:
