Psst! I’m over here this morning.

Oh, and here’s a little something for Alex Hilton, who claims to have missed the whole Usmanov thing; a video I made at the time, but neglected to release…

UK Libel Law (explained in post-it notes)

There’s a newer and far funkier animation on the way (on the subject of sock-puppetry).

Oh, and if I can figure a way to write about it without some idiot throwing his idiot laywer at me, there will one day soon be an opaque post (containing tedious detail) that reflects on the issues of unmoderated user-generated content and profitability, and where these two issues might intersect in the most mysterious ways.

Um. Supporting him more than you are … but:Comment on article with more than a little Usmanov in it:http://www.mattwardman.com/blog/2007/12/19/the-mi…Not that my articles are memorable of course.

It is entirely possible that Alex only read the text in your post that referred to him.:o)Amusing that you had to point this out to him at the time, though:"But – as editor – it's your joint responsibility, just as I am responsible for every word published on here…"Re: this very point and my (lack of) support for Alex so farFurther details have come to light, but I still find it hard to back Hilton over a post that is described elsewhere as something that's "not his fault", because from what I can see it appears to be his fault, his responsibility, and a problem just waiting to happen on LabourHome.I've been putting off a post about the profit motive, Alex Hilton's management of LabourHome, and his recent cheeky appeal to "comrades", mainly because it's difficult for me to have a sensible, open conversation about his exact past/present position relating to MessageSpace and not risk further legal bullying from Paul Staines (aka 'Guido Fawkes'). I hope those in the know can appreciate the irony. But maybe Alex would care to pop up here and bring a few things to light so I don't have to go fumbling around the parts that Paul Staines likes to keep in the dark.
