« Stormfront in hotlinking whoopsie | Main | Tom's busy » March 5, 2008The Obi One may have trouble laughing this one off...LayScience - Dr. Joseph Obi vs. LayScience.net: Today I have "most ethically" triggered a chain of events that may be of great interest to the Royal College of Alternative Medicine. Nothing beats good evidence, and I've just posted a load of it to the Irish Government's Office of the Director Of Corporate Enforcement... Oh, also, a hilarious new post on http://www.nhsalternativemedicine.com/ "Obi and Mel B battle it out for charity".... Posted by: mjrobbins at March 5, 2008 3:26 PM - Hahahahahahaha! "At the time of filing this report , Official Spokespersons for either of the two Stars were totally unavailable for comment." http://www.nhsalternativemedicine.com/2008/03/alternative-medicine-doctor-joseph.html In other Obi news: "The NHS Alternative Medicine Camapign Team is formally advised that the Chief Advocate of LexCity.org Ltd , Miss Tanja Suessenbach LLB LLM , is currently redesigning her official website..." http://www.nhsalternativemedicine.com/2008/03/tanja-suessenbach-lexcityorg-ltd.html 1. Tut. Some must have blabbed about her nicking of design templates. 2. Loving Obi's desperate attempts to wash the top 10 search results clean for his not-quite-a-solicitor chum with the repeated use of 'Tanja Suessenbach' and 'LexCity.org Ltd' in positive but pointless articles across his one-man network of websites. Posted by: Manic at March 5, 2008 4:49 PM - It gets better yet... http://www.nhsalternativemedicine.com/2008/03/patrick-holford-seduces-us-with.html Yes, I noticed the Tanja obsession lately, it's a bit odd. At any rate, I'm hoping she'll be very busy in a couple of weeks time. Although not being a solicitor I'm not sure she can represent Obi in an Irish court... Posted by: mjrobbins at March 6, 2008 4:47 PM - mjrobbins writes: That's an interesting point. A person may represent themself in an Irish court, or may (I believe) choose any other person they wish as representation. However, a company or any other organisation is legally required to have a qualified solicitor or barrister representing them. See: "The defendant company was involved in legal proceedings but did not have enough money for legal representation. The plaintiff, who was the major shareholder and managing director of the company, sought to conduct the company's defence. The court held that while a human person can represent him- or herself in court, a legal person such as a company can only be represented by a solicitor or barrister."
