FFS, give the guy a break! This happened decades ago! Surely he’s grown up since th….
Political Penguin – Paul Delaire Staines AKA Guido Fawkes, Hull University and the article he doesn’t want you to see: Only someone with an incredibly high opinion of themselves would take this kind of action and make their own failure the object of such publicity.
Oh.
Um…

Perhaps if he throws some more anonymous bullies at it…?

Speaking as a surrealist lobster, located almost as far from the sea as you can be in the UK, I have a little bit of news to add.Last Wednesday I jumped on the 142 from Watford Junction and went to Collingdale. The British Library Newspapers collection is located there. The Staines' article is easy enough to find, it is located on page 28 of The Guardian Sat 31st May 1986.It was my first visit to the British Library Newspaper Reading Rooms, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable visit. The staff were very helpful and polite, even when I managed to roll a microfiche right off its reel.As to Staines, I think he's nothing but a jerk. However his jerkiness did get me off my backside and into the real world, so at least I have him to thank for that.I'll post a photo of the article up in a few minutes time on Lobster Blogster.
