« Tony Blair owes me £2000 | Main | Channel 4 inspires terrorists with the revelation that bullets can kill » August 30, 2006Hooray for hysteriaBBC - Arabic T-shirt sparks airport row: An architect of Iraqi descent has said he was forced to remove a T-shirt that bore the words "We will not be silent" before boarding a flight at New York. Raed Jarrar said security officials warned him his clothing was offensive after he checked in for a JetBlue flight to California on 12 August. (via) See also a whole bunch of similar incidents: Still, it could be worse. One of the security guards, or whatever they call themselves, came up to him and suggested that he might want to turn the t shirt he was wearing inside out, due to the fact that it had the phrase "I kicked the Devil's Ass" on the back. It wasn't the "Hell" or "Devil" that they didn't like, it was the word "Ass", which the guard didn't say. He spelt it out.
