I read obscene amounts of stuff but it depends on what type of reading you mean. Usually current affairs, foreign policy, different fields of theory, design, etc.

Yeah, I read a lot of play texts and critical/performance theory and philosophy.
By volsunga February 15, 2005 - 9:52 pm
I read a ridiculous amount of novels and a fair bit of non-fiction, mostly political theory. If that’s at all helpful.

Me, if by books you mean “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”

Today I have read books by Enid Blyton, W E Johns, Robert Ruark, Proust (is that how you spell him?), Jilly Cooper & her sister Gilly, Desmond Morris, Anthony Burgess and Miranda Lake. The Miranda Lake book is filthy. Very filthy.Hope this helps.Jon.

[To Lounger] I don’t know how we ended up discussing Ken but here’s my tuppenceworth.I heard a copy of Ken’s conversation last weekend on one of the London news progs. It was definitely *not* anti-semitic so I’m with you on this. It was small beer. In fact I would say it’s more of a faux moral outrage from people who want to want to create a political furore in the lead-up to the General Election.

Oh yes. Nearly forgot. Also read Jasper Fforde. Who is up there with the gods of good comic writing, even if I do think the name is made up. And all this before elevenses. Or elenanses.PS: I’m dislexic.Jon

As the topic has been brought up I’m dyslexic too. I don’t know if you are using the dyslexia remark for comic effect but aren’t dyslexic, I’m not offended. In fact I’m a big fan of dyslexia jokes.

Sure, I’m a voracious reader myself… and intrigued to boot

Just to let you all know, I’m only allowed two participants, and have chosen RedDwarf and Jez.1. I know and trust them both2. They were first:o)

Yup, real honest-to-god dislexic. And I make some of my paltry income from writing. And this is, sorry, shouldn’t start a sentance with a properwhotsit, this is why I REALLY HATE txt lngwge. The words I can spell are like drops of gold, oh god even I’m getting bored. I’ve been a bit left behind here, haven’t I?Ken, isn’t it?Ken is a clown, a wise nonentity given licence to offend the King for as long as he remains amusing. My guess is that King Tony is about at the end of His amusement, and Ken will soon get nailed to something.Jon. Or possibly Jno.

UPDATE: This comment thread may not make sense now, because initial Ken-related-comments by lounger (a troll) have been deleted
